12. Call To Action
The importance of having an effective call to action cannot be overstated, as unless your prospects or customers take action, nothing happens. This is especially true in today’s overloaded world – with so much information available just about immediately, if you don’t get them to act and Act Now, the danger is they will never get round to it.
All small businesses need ‘Direct Response Marketing’.
You haven’t got the time or the money to wait for long-term campaigns to ‘build your brand’. And it’s a waste of money anyway.
Everything must be designed to be easy to measure and to generate an instant response for your business.
So the purpose of EVERY advert, brochure, quote, in fact everything in front of them is simple: you must get the
recipient to act and you must get them to act now
Remember, getting anyone to DO something isn’t easy. In fact, responding is usually inconvenient. More often than not the prospect or customer is busy. Other things are more important.
It’s very easy for your prospect to say to him/herself, “I’ll reply tomorrow.” Unfortunately tomorrow never comes!
- Why would they not respond now
- When was the last time you intended to do something but didn’t
- Why was that
- What can you learn from this for your business
- How can you stop this happening with your prospects
